A couple in the United States got married inside a McDonald's restaurant on 11 August 2026, and the internet was left stunned.

TikToker @courtney_settle posted footage of the ceremony, which took place in the dining area of a McDonald's decorated with red, yellow and white balloon arrangements and catering trays laid out on a foil-covered table beside the front counter. The digital menu boards were still visible in the background as the officiant stood before the guests and said, "We are gathered here today to witness the union of George and Jamie."

The bride arrived in a full white gown and veil, an officiant led the ceremony, and guests filled the dining area for what turned out to be a full, heartfelt wedding.

Why they chose the Golden Arches

The backstory behind the venue is just as charming as the ceremony itself. Chelsea Hall, the bride's cousin, explained in the comments that Jamie met George through a mutual friend at Cedar Point. The two later ended up working at the same McDonald's location and fell in love on the job. Their boss suggested holding the wedding there as a joke, and the couple simply ran with it.

Chelsea added that neither George nor Jamie has a large family, and their coworkers had become family to them over time. "Who has thousands for a day," she wrote. "It's the love that matters."
