A very ANC Christmas

The ANC had still not paid their employees by December, which gave a miserable outlook for the festive period. ANC Staff Representative Committee chairperson Mvusi Mdala said that employees are facing severe hardships with homes being repossessed and school fees remaining unpaid.

The situation has become so desperate that some employees are unable to pay for vital medication. Mdala said that the only recourse employees had was to petition the highest court in the land. The ruling party owes hundreds of employees R12 million due to unpaid salaries for October, November and December.

Stanley Mathabatha encourages ANC supporters to keep backing President Cyril Ramaphosa's leadership

Speaking of the ANC, Briefly News previously reported that support for President Cyril Ramaphosa is currently on shaky ground in some provinces that used to be his strongholds.

Some areas in his home province in Limpopo have now sided with Radical Economic Transformation (RET) faction which is affiliated with former President Jacob Zuma. However, the president still has prominent leaders within the organisation that are willing to back him and help win African National Congress's presidency in December 2022.

Stanley Mathabatha, the Limpopo ANC chairperson is one of the leaders willing to throw their weight behind Ramaphosa. Speaking at Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane, Mathbatha encouraged supporters who were gathered to continue supporting Ramaphosa because he was fairly elected.
