South African radio personality Sol Phenduka recently shared his views on the ongoing Madlanga Commission of Inquiry Hearings.

The Commission's latest developments, made on 23 September 2025, revealed President Cyril Ramaphosa's alleged knowledge about the disbandment of the KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).

According to a testimony made by National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola, Ramaphosa promised to speak to "the Minister," alluding to Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, about the sudden dissolution of the task team.

Reacting to the bombshell was the Podcast and Chill co-host, expressing shock at Masemola's revelations.

Sol demanded that the President testify before the Madlanga Commission regarding the disbandment and the allegations made by General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi:

"So, the president knew about the disbandment of the task team? Nah, he needs to give us a testimony at the commission."

This demand comes months after the damning claims made by the Police Commissioner on 6 July regarding the corruption and political interference in the criminal justice system.

Mkhwanazi implicated top police officials and government ministers in organised crime, including Senzo Mchunu.

Ironically, the Commission was established by the President himself to investigate serious allegations of corruption and criminal infiltration within the country's law enforcement and justice institutions.

Like many South Africans, Sol took to his social media page demanding answers about the ongoing corruption in the country and believes that the President holds the key to unlocking many secrets.

"Ramaphosa met with Mchunu, and he confirmed to the National Commissioner that they met but never shared the outcome. This suggests the President and Minister Mchunu may have reached an agreement, because if the President had not supported it, Mchunu would not have acted."
