KwaZulu-Natal— A week after vanishing from Umbilo, a 30-year-old safety officer from Wentworth, Torell Abrahams, has been discovered unharmed following a multi-area search effort. She was discovered safely after a teenager from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape was located days after her disappearance.

According to IOL, Abrahams was last seen departing a building site along Oliver Lea Road around 18:00 on October 8. During a phone call with her father at roughly 20:00, she indicated that she had boarded an e-hailing transport to head home. All communication ceased shortly afterward, sparking widespread concern and leading Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) to issue an alert. Reports later noted that her mobile phone signal was last tracked to Ndwendwe while an official missing person docket was lodged with Umbilo SAPS.
