The Springboks played their hearts out in their final match of the Rugby Championship. They had suffered defeat at the hands of the Wallabies and the All Blacks.

Their dreams of a final had been shattered but they refused to go quietly into the night and dominate the game.

The All Blacks only managed to claw their way into the lead by one point in the last five minutes of the game and this was short-lived.

Elton Jantjies saved that day with a last-minute penalty that put South Africa back in front and resulted in them winning the match.

It's been an eventful year for the Springboks, the highlight being their triumph against the British & Irish Lions and growing together as a squad. Kolisi is most famous for being the first black captain for the Springboks, he also made his mark by lifting the World Cup in the process.

Temba Bavuma teases Siya Kolisi on social media

Briefly News previously reported that the Springboks were about to be facing their bitter rivals New Zealand and the timeline was been tense in preparation for the game.

Proteas captain Temba Bavuma, however, decided to post a "timeline cleanser" showing Siya Kolisi's terrible batting skills. Bavuma and Kolisi looked like they were having fun playing some cricket but it was clear that the sport is not Kolisi's strong point.
