‘Rivalries be damned’ has to be what Virgil van Dijk and Kevin De Bruyne seemed to put their competitive edge aside as they partied together in a Spanish resort in Ibiza.

The two football stars, who have frequently clashed in high-stakes Premier League title battles over the past nine seasons, embraced the chance to unwind away from the pitch.

DJ Calvin Harris shared on social media a photo of the pair, clearly in high spirits, alongside the renowned DJ at an Ibiza concert.

However, amid the festivities, both players have recently been linked with potential transfers away from their current clubs.

Van Dijk and De Bruyne linked with transfer moves?

According to a report from 90mins, Van Dijk is attracting interest from several clubs, including Atlético Madrid and various teams from the Saudi Pro League.

However, the likelihood of the Dutch defender leaving his Premier League club seems to be diminishing, especially given reports suggesting he could play a key role in the plans under new manager, Arne Slot.

De Bruyne, on the other hand, is heavily linked with a move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr. Nonetheless, in a recent press conference reported by Sky Sports, the Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, claimed his talisman will not be leaving his Premier League club during the summer transfer window.

Both De Bruyne and Van Dijk will be aiming to achieve more success with their respective clubs this season.

The duo are also expected to join their teams in the United States for the start of their pre-season tours.
