Kylian Mbappe made his long-awaited debut for Real Madrid, and it was successful.
The Frenchman was named in Carlo Ancelotti's starting eleven for Real Madrid's UEFA Super Cup clash against Atalanta and scored.
Federico Valverde also scored to help the Spanish giants lift the trophy for a record-breaking sixth time.
The World Cup winner had an uneventful first half. In the 59th minute, Valverde opened the scoring for Real Madrid thanks to Vinicius Junior's brilliant pass.
Atalanta goalkeeper Juan Musso produced a phenomenal performance, denying Vinicius and Jude Bellingham in Warsaw.
However, he couldn't stop Mbappe from scoring his first goal for his new club. The ex-Paris Saint-Germain star fired into the top corner thanks to Bellingham's neat pass in the 68th minute, per Eurosport.
Will Mbappe hit 50 goals?
The France captain was asked about his targets for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
"We're at Real Madrid, we have no limit, I have no limit," Mbappe said via BeIn Sports.
"If I can score 50 goals, it's 50. But the most important thing is to win and improve as a team, because we're going to win as a team."
"It was a great night. I've been waiting for this moment a long time, to play in this shirt, with this badge, for these fans. It's a great moment for me."
The 25-year-old has scored 44 and 41 goals in all competitions in the last two seasons.
Ancelotti discusses Mbappe's targets
Briefly News earlier reported that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti sharing his thoughts on if Mbappe can score 50 goals next season.
The Italian tactician is confident his new signing can score 50 goals. Mbappe will form a fearsome attacking unit that also includes Ballon d'Or candidates Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
