He became the first player to score four first-half goals in Premier League history by doing so. Last season's Young Player of the Year said he should've scored more.

"I should have had five or six," Palmer said via Eurosport. "When I missed the first chance I was upset but with the way they played and their high line I felt we'd get more chances."

A video of the forward predicting "four goals" went viral after his four-goal first half. During a shoot for broadcasters, Palmer was asked to do a one, two, and three if he scored a hat-trick. Palmer responded by saying, what about four?

The England star scored 22 Premier League goals last season, and only Erling Haaland has scored more league goals than him.

It is believed Palmer, alongside Romeo Lavia, and Wesley Fofana were left out due to load management ahead of the 2025 Club World Cup.

Should Chelsea advance, Palmer could be reinstated for the knockout stages, with the Blues allowed to make three squad changes in February. New signings Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix, and Pedro Neto have all been included, while goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli, part of the play-off squad, has been replaced by Lucas Bergstrom.
