Ecuador International Marco Angulo Dead at 22 After Car Accident

22-year-old Ecuador footballer Marco Angulo has succumbed to injuries after a car accident that happened earlier last month.
The young midfielder was a passenger in a car that was involved in a collision in the early hours of October 7.
The driver, fellow footballer player Roberto Cabezas, died in the crash. Angulo was rushed to hospital and underwent surgery to release the pressure caused by the trauma.

The youngster was one of five people in the car that crashed into a metal structure in Ecuador's capital Quito. Other passengers in the car included a defender for Independiente Juniors and Victor Charcopa Nazareno, both of whom died.
According to Metro Sport, the exciting midfielder also suffered a lung contusion.
His club, LDU Quito, released a statement confirming his death. Thousands of fans have shared their condolences.
"With deep pain and sadness, we regret to report the death of our beloved player Marco Angulo,’ LDU Quito said in a statement this morning."
"We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones."
"His departure is an irreparable loss that will leave an indelible mark on our hearts. Rest in peace."

Briefly News earlier reported that former Premier League star Geroge Baldock was found dead in a swimming pool.
The 31-year-old played for Sheffield United and made 83 appearances in the Premier League, scoring two goals.
