Those comments angered the club's fanbase. The 20-year-old fired back at the fan, but it seems those words affected him.
On Sunday, he scored a brilliant goal late in the game against Leicester City to seal the 3-0 win, but he gave a muted celebration.
Captain Bruno Fernandes could be seen trying to get him to celebrate. He later explained that Garnacho refused to celebrate because he felt he had "lost faith" among fans.
Garnacho is Man United's top scorer this season with seven goals, but some of his performances have drawn criticism.
Roy Kean calls out Garnacho
Keane, known for his straightforwardness, has savagely slammed the youngster, saying he should "get a job somewhere else."
"When you score a goal, there should be nothing else on your mind...and he's [Alejandro Garnacho] on about people having a go at him. People make sacrifices to travel to watch Manchester United...if a younger player can’t enjoy scoring a goal for Man United, then get a job somewhere else," he said via Manchester Evening News.
"If you can't celebrate a goal, there is something drastically wrong with this game."
The young winger will likely play a key role under new manager Ruben Amorim who will be in the dugout for the first time against Ipswich on November 24.
Garnacho's tribute to van Nistelrooy
Briefly News earlier reported that Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho shared a beautiful tribute for Ruud van Nistelrooy.
