What did Rashford and Casemiro do?

The former Sporting Lisbon boss was forced to respond to questions about Marcus Rashford and Casemiro after the duo were spotted in the United States during the international break.

The pair were not called up for national duty by their respective countries and chose to go to America. Rashford was spotted courtside at Madison Square Garden during the New York Knicks' game against the Brooklyn Nets. Casemiro, meanwhile, was at Disney World in Florida.

Amorim calls for tougher rules

Club legend Gary Neville called out the pair, but Amorim defended them even as he called for a new approach.

"We cannot put this on the players. They told them they had five days off, so they could fly anywhere. Because nobody in the club says, you cannot fly. So we cannot, this time, put that on Rash or Case," he said as quoted by GOAL.

The 39-year-old was not part of the decision, but now that he has settled into his new role, he intends to change the rule going forward.

"Would I set a different structure? Yes, for sure. It’s my decision if they can have five days, or three days, or three days to rest and you cannot fly. This is something that we as a club have to decide. So this must be started in the club, with us and me being responsible in that area."

Amorim calls out one player after Ipswich game

Briefly News has also reported that Amorim called out one player after the Ipswich game.

After the thrilling contest, Amorim warned that his players needed more time to understand his ideas. The Red Devils' dominance in the game, however, waned off as Kieran McKenna's side upped the ante. The pressure finally paid off just a few minutes before halftime when Omari Hutchinson bent one past Andre Onana.
