Sporting CP fans set off fireworks during their Champions League clash with Arsenal, which could be a safety breach.

The fireworks exploded over Gunners goalkeeper David Raya but didn't affect the visitors, who registered an emphatic 5-1 win in Lisbon.

In a video circulating online, Sporting fans can be seen launching fireworks that exploded in the Arsenal penalty area close to Raya.

Arsenal was dominant in the first half, but the home fans were not happy with their team after they conceded the second goal in the 22nd minute.

In the 25th minute, fans set off fireworks, flares, and smoke bombs over Arsenal's 18-yard box. Pyrotechnics were reportedly lit, too, but the game was not stopped, per The Sun.

Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Magalhaes gave Mikel Arteta's side a comfortable lead in the first half. Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard scored in the second half to complete the rout.

The North London club are now seventh in the Champions League table after five matches.

Supercomputer Premier League prediction

Briefly News earlier reported that Opta's supercomputer predicted the final Premier League table of the 2024/25 season after Manchester City's loss.

Liverpool are the favourites after matchday 12 while defending Manchester City are the second favourites. Arsenal are the third favourites after a slow start to the season. Liverpool will have to maintain their form throughout the season to secure the title. They will start with a showdown against Man City this weekend.

Arteta's team finished second last season, two points behind Man City after slipping up late in the season. Opta's supercomputer released its final league table after matchday 12. The 2020 champions started as the third favourites behind Man City and Arsenal.
