Pep Guardiola has now come out to clarify his worrying statement during the post-match conference after their Champions League match on Tuesday evening.
Guardiola watched his side extend their winless streak to six games after they blew away a 3-0 lead to draw with Feyenoord at the Etihad.
It is a very unfamiliar territory for the Manchester City boss, who, before this season, had never gone for more than four games without a win.

"I want to harm myself,"
Guardiola apologises for making jokes about self-harm
Guardiola has now apologised for those remarks after he was accused of making a joke out of self-harm.
"I was caught off guard with a question at the end of a press conference last night about a scratch which had appeared on my face and explained that a sharp fingernail had accidentally caused this," he posted on his Instagram stories.
"My answer was in no way intended to make light of the very serious issue of self-harm."

Manchester City's problems are far from over. Their next game is a visit to Anfield this weekend to face a high-flying Liverpool. If the Reds win, they will open an 11-point lead over the champions in the title race.
