Jack Grealish responded to critics with a savage gesture after Manchester City lost 2-1 to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

The England international has not scored in over 365 days, a run spanning 45 matches.

Villa handed Grealish and Man City their ninth defeat in 12 games, piling more misery on the defending Premier League champions.

Grealish responds to critics

The England midfielder was bright in the opening minutes but faded as the match wore on at Villa Park.

Jhon Duran and Morgan Rogers scored for the hosts, while Phil Foden scored a consolation for Man City late in the game. It was Man City's sixth Premier League defeat in nine games.

Grealish at Man City

Grealish has now gone over 365 days since scoring a goal for his club. After the Villa loss, he held three fingers up to symbolize the three Premier League titles he's won after leaving Villa Park.

GOAL reported that Grealish was involved in a bust-up with Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez at halftime.

The 29-year-old has played 18 matches this season and has registered two assists in all competitions. He has played 142 games for Man City and registered 14 goals and 20 assists.

He arrived at the club in August 2021 for £100 million, making him the ninth most expensive footballer ever, per Transfermarkt.

Grealish last scored a goal on December 16, 2023, in Man City's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace. He has received plenty of criticism on social media, with many football fans saying they expect better from one of the most expensive footballers.
