Amakhosi have strung together five consecutive league victories, putting them in a strong position to secure third place and an automatic CAF Confederation Cup berth, with even a second-place finish still within reach.

The Glamour Boys' current total of 45 points is their highest in four seasons, and they still have seven fixtures remaining. While fans and neutrals are impressed by the team’s performances, Miguel believes there’s still more to be done.

Miguel on Kaizer Chiefs' past struggles

Miguel, speaking ahead of Kaizer Chiefs' clash with Polokwane City, reflected on the team's past struggles in the Betway Premiership. He admitted that consistency had been a major problem for the team for a while now, and their recent wins do not show that the issue is over until they sustain it with back-to-back positive results.

Although he acknowledged the current run as a step in the right direction, he stressed that such form should be the norm for a club of Chiefs’ stature, not something extraordinary. According to him, the objective is to turn winning into a regular habit.

He recently returned from injury and was part of the Kaizer Chiefs' squad that thrashed Magesi FC 4-1 on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

The Angolan international was critical of the team's performance, as he was not happy with them conceding a goal against a team battling relegation. He believes that stopping teams like that from scoring remains a priority, as conceding against them left him disappointed.

The Soweto giants would face the Rise and Shine on Saturday, April 18, 2026, and they are a side that could cause them problems.

Miguel added that every PSL opponent raises their level against Kaizer Chiefs, meaning his side must respond with even greater intensity and focus. He concluded that winning individual battles across the pitch will be key to securing another positive result.
