Springboks captain Siya Kolisi is facing an anxious wait for scan results after suffering a hamstring injury during Saturday's Test against Argentina in Buenos Aires, casting doubt over his availability for the upcoming Rugby's Greatest Rivalry series against New Zealand.
Kolisi lasted only 24 minutes at the Estadio José Amalfitani before leaving the field, forced to watch from the sidelines as South Africa ground out a 17-10 victory over Los Pumas. Tries from Edwill van der Merwe and Cameron Hanekom, combined with points from Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Handré Pollard, were enough to secure the win in a tight contest.
Kolisi's injury update
Kolisi confirmed after the match that he had suffered another hamstring injury and would undergo a scan to determine the severity of the setback. Despite the disappointment, the Springbok captain said there was little he could do but wait for the results and learn how long he would be sidelined.

Kolisi praises Argentina despite win
Despite the injury concern, Kolisi was composed in his post-match assessment. He acknowledged how close the result could have gone the other way, paying tribute to Argentina's quality.
"We have a huge amount of respect for them, and we could easily have lost this game. Home or away, they're one of the toughest teams we play all year. I thought it was going to be a real battle, and we were fortunate to come through it," he said.
The Springboks squad will now return home in two separate groups, travelling on Sunday and Monday, where they will link up with the broader squad in Johannesburg ahead of three Tests on home soil against New Zealand, followed by a fixture in Baltimore, USA.
