1. Lupita Nyong'o

The beautiful actress chooses her gowns well. She did not disappoint as she wore a custom burnished yellow three-dimensional sequin flared gown, which was enriched with some crystals by Prada.

2. Jennifer Garner

The mother of three wore a stunning red Brandon Maxwell gown which was topped off with white diamond earrings, ruby and a white diamond bracelet. The beauty also had a glam team to match the outfit as she was a spec at the awards.

3. Jessica Chastain

The actress was fine candy at the event as she was dripping in finesse and Gucci. She wore a custom tulle gown embellished with sequins and a ruffle-trimmed hem. She completed her look with jewellery from high fashion house Hortus Deliciarum and it's no shock she won Best Actress. She is the second actress to ever win for a film she also produced.

4. Nicole Kidman

The ever stunning thespian killed it in her custom made light blue silk faille strapless bustier dress by Giorgio Armani. She was accompanied by her husband Keith Urban, also draped in Armani.

5. Jada Pinkett Smith

The content creator and wife of Will Smith rocked an emerald green dress from French couture and fashion designer Jean-Paul Gautier. She also wore green Jimmy Choo shoes to match her high-end courtier dress and clearly, she understood the assignment.

Queen B killed it with her showstopper yellow gown. The talented musician graced the Oscars with her presence with her first-ever nomination. She was accompanied by her husband Jay-Z and what more does he need when Bey is rightfully beside him on the red carpet

7. Kim Kardashian

The reality star ate while leaving no crumbs. The mother of four has perfected the art of minimalism when it comes to fashion as she accessorized her light blue gown with shades and a pair of diamond earrings.

Will Smith Slaps Comedian Chris Rock at The Oscars
