With the aim of easing their struggles, Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly looking to bring coach Stuart Baxter back to replace Gavin Hunt. Briefly News has gathered that the Amakhosi hierarchy is weighing their options and the English manager might be back at Naturena.

According to iDiskiTimes, the former Bidvest Wits coach could part ways with the Soweto giants at the end of the current season.

Chiefs have been blowing hot and cold in the DStv Premiership and consistency has been their major downfall under the former SuperSport United boss. Chiefs are languishing at the bottom, number 10, of the table just five points off the relegation battle and are under pressure to secure their top eight spot.

With four matches remaining to complete this term, Chiefs’ management is reportedly looking beyond the 2020/21 season and a new coach might be brought in.

Baxter, 67, was the last Chiefs coach to lift a trophy, winning two league trophies and two knockout titles during his previous spell at the club between 2012 and 2015.

Meanwhile, he is now a free agent after he was axed by the Indian club, Odisha, earlier this year; at the same time, Hunt himself is also understood not to be entirely happy at the club.

Should the Glamour Boys bring Baxter back, he will be the fifth coach to lead the club in three years, following the likes of Steve Komphela, Giovanni Solinas, Ernst Middendorp and now Hunt.

Moreover, The South African has it that Chiefs face the possibility of finishing outside the top right for the second time in three years and almost every fan blames the four-time PSL winner - his tactics and his man-management skills.

Chiefs are out to beat Swallows FC whom they face on Wednesday afternoon at before turning their focus to Simba SC in the CAF Champions League this weekend.

Briefly News reported that Chiefs striker Khama Billiat’s future has attracted wide speculation as the 2020/21 DStv Premiership season is drawing to a close.

According to one of the club’s former players, Linda Buthelezi, Billiat should be released by the Soweto giants. The former Bafana Bafana midfielder argues that the Zimbabwean international is not offering anything to the Glamour Boys.
