2018 has been a phenomenal year as far as fashion and style are concerned. As can be expected, women celebrities have been at the forefront of it all.

Briefly.co.za highlights some of the women celebrities who were 2018's fashion icons.

1. Nandi Madida

Nandi Madida's talents as a media host and musician are well known, but in 2018, she made amazing inroads into the fashion industry.

As Briefly.co.za reported, she made South Africa proud in February when she showcased her fashion label Colour at the Fall edition of the New York fashion week.

She went on to participate in several more high profile fashion events around the world. She outdid herself every single time.

2. Bonang Matheba

It goes without saying that popular media personality Bonang Matheba has been a fashion icon for, like, forever. 2018 was no different at all.

Bonang's Instagram profile literally leaves one spoilt for choice when it comes to her best outfits. It's safe to say she loves being colourful, eye-catching, and elegant.

3. Pearl Thusi

Pearl Thusi made huge forays into Hollywood this year. This didn't diminish her impeccable and eclectic fashion tastes, however.

She is bolder and much more experimental in trying out new styles than most celebrities — and she rocks it all the time.

4. Ayanda Thabethe

Popular TV host Ayanda Thabethe is more understated than most celebs, but her fashion tastes are equally elegant.

Ayanda is also versatile. She looks great in almost every type of outfit she chooses. Oh, and she has a thing for the colour white.

5. DJ Zinhle

There's probably no other celeb in Mzansi's fashion scene who rocks the tomboy look as great as DJ Zinhle does.

The talented entertainer's style is as eclectic as can get, but she always manages to nail that aesthetically appealing look.
