There are times that fame comes at a price. One person who will know just how this feels is Generations: The Legacy actress Zoe Mthiyane. She is most certainly one of the top actresses in Mzansi and one who is recognised by so many people. However, there was a time in her life that she was ready to give up and move back home.
Back in 2003, Zoe entered the TV talent competition. Since then she became a star in many of big productions. She recently had an interview with True Love magazine in whichshe openly discussed the days when she felt her career was going nowhere.
Briefly.co.za learnt that she said there was a period in her life where her career was stagnant and she called her late mom to say that she needed to return home.
During these times, her mom would remind her that the road to success is prickly and would tell her to hang in there. Zoe said her mom would then insist that she make her way home over the weekend to recollect and then return to Johannesburg.
Zoe said that she has learnt so much through the almost 20 years of working in the industry. One thing was that keeping her private life private was important as she was far too open about her love-life in the beginning.
