A local snake expert, who hails from Hillcrest, has gone viral on Mzansi social media. Dingo Dinkelman experienced a "once in a lifetime" moment when he swam with a massive King Cobra.

The highly venomous serpent measures a whopping 4.8 metres. The video gathered more than 267 000 views since it was shared online and we took a look at some of the reactions the footage generated.

Erika Lello McAnn commented:

"Nothing to see here. Just takin’ my cobra to the park for a swim. Because of you, kings are now my favourite snake. So inquisitive, majestic and gorgeous. What a great ambassador for the species."

Shawn Hyland added:
