Kaizer Chiefs celebrate Golden 50th birthday with limited edition kit

- The Kaizer Chiefs are celebrating 50 years of existence this month

- In celebration of their 50th birthday, Amakhosi released a limited edition black and gold kit

- Social media users gave the new jersey a thumbs-up but they were still not happy about the Chiefs' performance over the weekend

This month, the Kaizer Chiefs are celebrating 50 years of existence and they are celebrating by launching a new kit.

Taking to social media, the Kaizer Chiefs gushed about celebrating 50 years since the club was first established.

Since then, photos of the club's 50th celebration limited edition black and gold kit were posted online.

The jersey got Mzansi's approval and fans dubbed it "beautiful".

Twitter user, @vicmorelazlo, commented:

"Now this is real gold and black jersey, the must have."

However, there were those who could not care less about new kit. Briefly.co.za reported onthe Chiefs breaking their nine-match winning streak days before their 50th anniversary when they lost to Supersport United 2-1.

This led to a lot of unhappy Amakhosi fans who were focused only on the club's poor performance.

Reacting to the Chiefs' 50th celebration post, social media user @Msibi_Teesa, commented:

"We need changes in defence. Sasman and Frosler must rest!"
