Cassper Nyovest has set the record straight, making it known that he doesn’t rely on anyone but himself for an income.

Sometimes peeps think celebs lives are all handouts and sponsors, but it ain’t always like that.

Briefly.co.za learnt that people have been accusing Cassper of taking a free ride and faking being solely independent.

Cassper prides himself on the fact that he is totally independent and self-funded – no one can every take cred for what he has, he did it all on his own.

Taking to social media after a fan commented on his craft, Cass reminded the people that he is 100% independent and has total control over everything he produces.

“I'm still indi bro. In a joint venture partnership with UMD. Still own and direct 100%. Would break it down but half of the game would be mad. I am still signed understand myself and I still fund myself. Every cent Universal uses gets paid back by me, not by taking ownership of anything.”

Fans asked Cassper to share some tips on making it in the game but Cass doesn’t believe social media is the face to do this. Cass thinks that anything posted on social media is twisted and made into a joke, and his hustle ain’t no joke.

“I would love to but Twitter is not the place for teaching. Here it's all fun and games. They just wanna laugh and make fun of successful people. I was actually planning a music workshop before lockdown where I can filter the idiots and engage with people who wanna learn from me.”
