South Africans are growing to love President Cyril Ramaphosa as his tenure progresses.

The irony of the coronavirus pandemic is that the fear and uncertainty has reinforced the belief in our commander-in-chief.

Aside from his astute leadership, many appreciate Ramaphosa's humility and lighthearted approach.

This was perfectly summed up in a video recently shared by South Africa Live via Facebook.

The video captures Ramaphosa's visit to the notorious suburb of Mitchells Plain in Cape Town.

While speaking to some of the other officials, a passer-by shouts, "Mr Cyril, I salute you my bru."

Without any hesitation, the president delivers his classy response: "I salute you too my bru."

Briefly.co.za gathered that the hilarious moment has been trending since Thursday and social media users shared loads of positive comments.

Musa Mtsitsi said,

"There's somethng very unique about this country."

Norman Ndiimafhi Vhulenda Muntswu added,

"I love this country."

Bubele Dudumashe responded,

"Put the formality and titles aside and greet the man. I salute that greeting."
