2020 has not been the year of love for a good few Mzansi couples. Break-ups started happening from the minute the clock struck midnight on the first of January.

Being in a relationship ain’t easy, especially when your every move is watched, judged and torn apart in the media.

Briefly.co.za has seen some of Mzansi’s favourite celeb couples, from LootLove and Reason to DJ Zinhle and AKA, fall apart this year.

Unfortunately, infidelity seems like the biggest contributor to relationship woes, especially when it comes to celebrities who spend a lot of time apart.

The general public can only imagine how tough it must be for celebrities to put off all the negative comments and false stories in order to keep their relationships together – it ain’t child’s play.

As fans, we get heavily invested in our celeb couples' lives, so when things go south we feel it too.

Lootlove and Reason haven't been seen together in public for months and Mzansi has been stressing. Their relationship is over.

Lerato Kganyago and Thami Ndlala

Lerato Kganyago might just have set the record for shortest celeb marriage. The beautiful radio personality announced that she and hubby of two months, Thami Ndlala, have separated.

Thando Thabethe and Lunga Shabalala

It's apparent that Thando Thabethe and Lunga Shabalala are over. Thando has quickly moved on to a new man, Jaji Albortore.

Zodwa WaBantu and Vusi Buthelezi
