Kgomotso Christopher opens up about teaching son with mild ADD

- Kgomotso Christopher has opened up about the difficulties she's faced home-schooling her son

- The actress' son as mild Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and they are currently doing online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic

- Kgomotso said, some days, she chooses to not force him to learn after he throws tantrums

Kgomotso Christopher recently took to social media to empathise with parents who, like her, have kids who have been diagnosed with learning difficulties.

These parents are some difficulties getting their children used to online learning.

When a fan spoke of her son with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Kgomotso responded, "My predicament exactly. (My son has) mild ADD (and is) not on any (medication). So, (yes), some days we as parents have to choose peace. I chose peace yesterday. I simply gave up fighting for him to work after a few meltdowns. Waking him up for first class soon. We'll see how today goes. Strength to you."

Kgomotso said change and inconsistency are a major trigger for children with learning difficulties.

She wrote, "They day they go back (to school) is going to present another battle."

The former Scandal! actress also lamented the fact that some therapies aren't readily available in SA schools.

Earlier this month, Briefly.co.za reported that Kgomotso had been quite vocal about ideas that the Department of Education could use to get the school year back on track.
