Mohale Motaung got gifted a stunning diamond ring from his awesome hubby Somizi Mhlongo and the public torn him apart over it.
Some celebrities do absolutely nothing wrong and get totally shaded, while others do wrong and are loved endlessly – it’s all part and parcel of being in the spotlight.
Briefly.co.za saw the commotion that was caused when Mohale showed the public what Somizi had gotten him for his 25th birthday.
Mohale hasn’t always been a fan favourite. Some feel that he is only with Somizi for his money and fame and is taking a free ride. Shame, the guy never stood a chance.
Taking to social media in absolute awe, Mohale shared a short clip showing off the breathtaking diamond ring he got for his birthday from hubby.
“My husband bought me the most beautiful diamond ring for my birthday. ♥️ Thank you baby @somizi - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. #25”

Little did Mohale know when he posted the picture that people would open fire on social media and tear him apart. The man got a gift, he didn’t commit a crime, kante!
Peeps felt that Mohale was being super insensitive posting gifts when Somizi’s mother had just passed. Somizi’s mother’s funeral took place on Mohale’s birthday and some felt he could have just waited till the next day, at least.

Somizi had a day filled with roller-coaster emotions. After saying goodbye to his mother, Mary Twala, Somizi went home to celebrate his husband's birthday. The Idols SA judge shared an emotional video detailing how he had planned a trip to Italy to celebrate his beau's birthday.
He even said that the couple were going to have a third wedding. Alas, things did not turn out the way he had planned.
