Sjava has taken to social media to release a short video denying the allegations leveled against him by former girlfriend, Lady Zamar. In the lengthy footage, Sjava shed some details about the ongoing court case against him.
The Mzansi singer said that he has been silent because his legal team told him that he is not allowed to speak about it online.
He says that he realised that his silence was confusing people and so he decided to speak out.
He revealed details about his relationship with Lady Zamar. He shared that the pair dated from 2017. The singer said he told Lady Zamar that he had another woman in his life and she was initially fine with it.
However, according to Sjava, Lady Zamar eventually told him that he needs to choose who he wants to be with.
He then went on to refute the allegations of sexual abuse leveled against him. The media personality said the accusations left him confused because Lady Zamar had never let him know that he had hurt her.
"All my life I have been very active against abuse, because it's something I don't agree with. It hurts me that someone would take all that and make me the bad guy. It hurts. I don't wish it on anyone."
Sjava then decided to further apologise to Lady Zamar if he had done anything wrong to her. He siad he was sorry that he did not love her in the way she wanted.
"I know a lot of people will take my apology as me admitting my guilt but I am not a rapist"
The popular singer also apologised to the fans that he disappointed by being entangled in such drama. He said that he has lost a lot og gigs due to the accusation.
Sjava trended on social media as Twitter users reacted to his statement. Twitter user WixxyF said:

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that the SABC has spoken out against claims that they axed Sjava, real name Jabulani Hadebe, from the popular SABC1 soapie Uzalo.
The media personality was reported to have joined the stellar cast of the show but claims were later made that he was fired. Reports alleged that Sjava's contract was terminated due to Lady Zamar's ongoing court case against him.
TshisaLive has reported that acting SABC spokesperson Mmoni Seapolelo has refuted the claims that the musician was fired. According to Seapolelo, Sjava's contract was for a limited time frame.
