Master KG has received five nominations for the Afrimma awards and his fans think that it is about time.
His fans are overjoyed and the congratulations have been flooding in for the hitmaker.
He took to Twitter to share the good news:

He has arguably been the most successful artist during the lockdown, with his Jerusalema song taking the number one position on the Shazam Global Charts.
The African Musik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) celebrates all genres of music and this year's awards has a full weekend of entertainment lined up.
Other artists who have been nominated for the awards include Black Coffee Tshego, Yanga Chief and Cassper Nyovest in the Best Male Southern Africa category.
Sho Madjozi, Busiswa, Elaine, Ami Faku and Azana have gotten the nod for the Best Female Southern Africa category.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Rami Chuene and Cassper Nyovest have defended Master KG after a troll called him a groupie. This comes after the musician thanked international footballer Cristiano Ronaldo for listening to his music.
A social media user thought Master KG's behaviour was inappropriate but Cass and Rami quickly shut down the negativity. Rami took to her social media page and said:
"It’s @MasterKGsa’s season. Ke phetho, ke tuu! Go peinelwa and hating on him won’t help, leave the man to enjoy his glory. He deserves all of it."
In other news, African-American rapper Ludacris was seen listening to Amapiano whilst chilling in the hot tub. Seeing international stars on this level listening to Mzansi produced music is truly an honour.
Mzansi artists are doing the most these days with their tracks reaching parts of the globe never dreamed of before. It is safe to say that SA talent is finally being noticed and we couldn’t be more proud.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Ludacris took to social media with a clip a while back where he was chilling in his hot tub smoking a cigar and listening to Amapiano. Seeing this left DJ Maphorisa overflowing with pride.
