Leon Winkle posted a video on Facebook of a driver who wanted to show off but his antics ended in tears as he crashed his car.

He performed a series of loops around the pumps before miscalculating and crashing into what appears to either be a column.

The squealing of the tires abruptly ends as he crashes with the bakkie's canopy almost launching off the back of the car.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that a hair-raising video clip, as well as a few pictures, have been shared online by South African road safety group Arrive Alive on their official Twitter account of an incident that occurred at a KZN petrol station recently.

In the clip, a man sits at the back of the bakkie filling the large tyre with air. Before long the tyre bursts causing it to fly into the air before coming crashing down onto the bakkie and badly destroying it.

Toyota bakkie bed impresses Mzansi: "I'm never leaving South Africa"

While the bakkie looks completely destroyed by the large tractor tyre, there were no reported fatalities or injuries, making this freak accident a lucky one since anyone hit by the tire would have been badly hurt.

In other news, a Twitter user, Petty Chief (@Stan_Subru), posted a video online of one of the weirdest car accidents that we have ever seen. The cameras at a petrol station record a random wheel rolling into the station from the road.

It does a loop around the only car at the pumps before rolling straight into the rear bumper doing some serious damage.

The event has got Mzansi scratching our heads in confusion, so many questions but so few answers.
