DJ Fresh and Euphonik have been axed from their positions at Primedia. This is following the allegations of sexual assault against them. rimedia confirmed the news by releasing a statement.
"The company has decided to release DJ Fresh and Euphonik from their contracts. Their last shows on 947 were aired on 15 and 10 January 2021 respectively," said the statement.
The company believes that this is the best decision for their business and stakeholders. DJ Fresh and Euphonik were implicated in the alleged sexual assault when a woman came forward on social media.
The woman took to Twitter and claimed that she was raped by both the DJs. A day after coming forward, she laid a charge with the police.
Mzansi was shocked when the woman came forward and is not reacting to the news that the pair have lost their jobs at Primedia. Take a look at the reactions below:
@Wela_Mfundo commented:
"So unfair, the fight is against black men. There's a female celebrity who associated with murder but she is still thriving in her career and the whole nation is silent."
@Jumangji71 said:
"The fact that Euphonik and DJ Fresh continued in the public eye despite so many accusations is baffling. I support this decision."
@LioydNtshangase commented:
"So all it takes is an allegation these days and not a conviction/verdict. What a time to be alive."
Briefly.co.za previously reported that the alleged victim accused the police of foul play. The plot continues to thicken with regards to the rape allegations pitted against DJ Fresh and Euphonik.
The woman who accused them of rape, Twitter user @nampree, now claims that the police leaked her statement. Taking to social media, the lady made the revelation and tagged the official South African Police account.
Her tweet read: “Police leaked my statement. Lol ya nhe @SAPoliceService”
Social media users saw her tweet and were quick to react. Ntsiki Mazwai was at the forefront of the responses as she offered her support to the alleged victim.
