Dr John Kani has had an amazing career in the arts and things just seem to keep getting better for the seasoned performer. John is celebrating a new milestone in his eventful career and took to social media to share the news with his followers.
"The Royal Shakespeare Company in England is celebrating its 60th Anniversary. Kunene and the King by John Kani is among the 10 Best Plays the RSC has ever produced in 60 years. I am overwhelmed by this honour with pride," he said.
Kunene and the King is a play by Dr John Kani and was first performed in 2019. The play is set in South Africa and it is about two men who are embarking on different paths but are forced to come together for a greater cause.

All good things have to come to an end and this was also the case for actress Dawn Thandeka King, who bid farewell to her character MaNgcobo on the popular SABC soapie, Uzalo.
Taking to Instagram, Dawn shared a video where the cast of the soapie and crew cheered her on as she made her last appearance. She captioned the footage:
"End of an amazing era. Thank you Stained Glass TV and SABC 1 for everything. I will miss MaNgcobo and I will miss everyone who opened their hearts to me."
