It has been five years since Rihanna dropped her last studio album, Anti, and fans have been waiting anxiously for a sign of her releasing something new. Rihanna has taken time off of making music and focused on her businesses over the last few years.
Taking to social media, Rihanna celebrated the fact that her Anti album has spent five full years on the Billboard 200 charts. She captioned her post:
"Grateful to the most high for putting die-hard supporters in my circle. Congrats to everyone who contributed to this era. Thank you team."
Rihanna's comments section was flooded by her fans thanking her for the wonderful album she released back in 2016 and a few fans started asking her to celebrate by dropping a new jam. Surprisingly, Rihanna responded.
"I think I should soon. Just one though, lol," she said.
Even though her fans are hungry for more, Rihanna is only prepared to drop one song to make her comeback.
She's made it clear over the years that music isn't a priority to her any longer but her fans will hold onto the fact that she might change her mind and bless them with at least one song eventually.
