A snap of a much skinnier Collen Maine has been doing its rounds on social media and locals are shocked at just how much weight the ANC Youth League president was able to lose. They made this very clear in the comment section of the post.

"Guys wait. Is this Oros like Oros Oros? Oros we ANC youth league," @iamVentWELL_SA captioned the snap of Maine.

Many South Africans quickly headed to the comment section to ask questions about his weight loss. While some wondered how he did it, others wondered whether stress had contributed to the massive drop in mass.

"Has comrade Collen Oros Maine started banting?" the post was captioned.

His weight loss sparked a massive reaction on Twitter, trending for hours on the social media platform. Now, the former ANCYL leader opened up about his weight loss journey in an interview with YOU. He revealed that earlier this year, he went for a laparoscopic biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch - a procedure designed to aid weight loss.
