Halala: Dali Mpofu's son secures PhD at renowned Oxford University

- The son of EFF member Dali Mpofu has completed his DPhil degree at Oxford University

- The DPhil is the renowned university's PhD degree in Philosophy

- Mpofu could not be prouder of his son and the doting dad shared a sweet message online

Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh is one inspiring young man. Not only did Sizwe complete his PhD, but he did it at one of the world's best universities.

On Monday, Sizwe revealed he successfully completed his DPhil degree - which is the prestigious university's PhD qualification in Philosophy.

The proud young man shared a couple of photos of himself and captioned it:

"I passed my DPhil viva at @UniofOxford!"

Sizwe is the son of Dali Mpofu - a lawyer and politician who serves as a former National Chairperson of the EFF.

Mpofu was the picture of a doting dad as he took to social media to share how proud he is of his son.

The EFF member shared a photo of his handsome son and captioned it:

"Cometh The Hour...Cometh The Son...Cometh The Doctor! Today was a VERY big and tense day of the Doctor of Philosophy panel interview at Oxford University to defend the Thesis. News Just In: WE MADE IT!!! So you can call me Proud Father of the Doctor loading... or just uTata ka."

The proud mom, Teresa Oakley-Smith, also showed how proud she was of her son.

Many congratulated Sizwe on his impressive feat, including Redi Tlhabi. The talk show host wrote a sweet message, congratulating Sizwe and his parents.

Tlhabi wrote:

"Good evening Dr Mpofu-Walsh. Hearty Congratulations to Teresa Oakley-Smith and Dali Mpofu on your son's momentous achievement. And love and best wishes to his lovely wife Sumaya. This is AWESOME!"

The inspiring Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh is not the only South African who has attended Oxford. Briefly.co.za previously reported a 24-year-old South African rose from being a gardener to pursuing a doctorate degree at the prestigious Oxford University.
