South Africans shared their doubts about the concert after looking into the company responsible for the concert. People remained unconvinced, even after seeing Ye's own post about the concert.

Ye returned to X and shared that he'd have an upcoming concert in South Africa. Social media was filled with the poster that Ye shared on his X account detailing that he would perform at Ellis Park Stadium in South Africa on 13 December 2025. Despite seeing that Ye posted the information, many people doubted it was real after many tried to find out more about the organiser of the event, Monyake Group. The events company did not have a website or a link to pre-book tickets, which raised red flags. Monyake Group said they were having technical issues and tickets would be available from 23 September 2025.
