South African TV personality Tsekeleke responded to death rumours which started to swirl shortly following his hospitalisation.

Tsekeleke celebrated his 40th birthday on 26 July 2025, but the celebration preparations came to an abrupt end when he was hospitalised. The Lose It Or Lose Me reality TV star was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed on 24 July 2025.

In a Facebook post on the day of his big day, a member of his team informed his 346K followers that he was hospitalised.

"Tsekeleke has collapsed and is currently in the hospital! Please keep him in your prayers during this difficult time. We’re hoping for a full recovery and will keep you all updated. Stay strong, Tsekeleke!- Team Mjojomba," the statement reads.

No further information has been revealed regarding the dancer's health and what caused him to be hospitalised. However, he assured his fans that he was doing just fine.

Tsekeleke slams death hoax

Death rumours began to circulate on social media, which triggered a scathing response from Tsekeleke 012.

In a short video statement, he urged his supporters to ignore the false information being spread about his health. He also expressed gratitude to everyone who continued to pray for him and those who sent kind messages wishing for his speedy recovery.

Responding to reports of Tsekelele's health, netizens expressed heartbreak, but they also cheered him on his big day. Some fans noted that on the Moja Love reality show, Tsekeleke's girlfriend, Black Cat, complained about his weight gain. This put a strain on their relationship.

Some fans noted that he was not in high spirits during the episode, implying that the illness started a little while ago.

That can be a transformation story that still makes him money instead of relying on his obesity for relevance. Please, good people, assist our fellow brother. Tsakane Ngwane joked:

"The hospital is encouraging weight gain; they have size ya tsekie ya pj's. Happy blessed birthday, malume tsekeleke."

Trouble brews between Tsekeleke and girlfriend

In a previous report from Briefly News, Tsekelele reportedly obtained a court order against his girlfriend, Black Cat.

He moved out of their home and moved back home with his family, who are now handling his career. The drama between the lovebirds started due to their booking fee dispute.
