What did Sizwe Dhlomo say about Gayton McKenzie?

Minister Gayton McKenzie has been facing a whirlwind of racist allegations that have caused social media to come to a standstill.

The Sports Minister is being accused of publishing degrading and discriminatory posts against black South Africans on his X page, some dating back to 2011.

While more and more posts are unearthed and screenshots are taken, the Minister has kept a cool head and maintained his innocence. However, X user @Lemonka claims McKenzie is feeling the pressure.

The eagle-eyed netizen accused McKenzie of deleting his posts amid the backlash and suggested an alternative solution—deactivating his page altogether:

"Gayton must deactivate; deleting tweets is not helping. They keep on finding more."

When you deactivate your X account, your profile, tweets, followers, and accounts you follow become hidden from public view. The page is hidden for 30 days until you reinstate it.

The user suggested that instead of deleting a tweet one at a time—requiring McKenzie or his social media team to delete trending posts or sift through his page using keywords—the Minister should deactivate his account and use the 30 days to manage the situation.

Responding to @Lemonka's post on 10 August 2025, Sizwe Dhlomo was hysterical over McKenzie allegedly clearing his page:

"Is he deleting? Lol!"

Dhlomo has been outspoken about his feelings toward the Minister since his tweets went viral. He previously demanded that McKenzie be fired from his position, and he's not the only one who shares these sentiments.
