South Africans took to social media this weekend to react to an old video of former reality TV star Dineo Ranaka jokingly kissing politician Kenny Kunene.
The politician also made headlines when an old video of Khanyi Mbau comparing him to P.Diddy trended on social media.
Kunene topped social media trends this past week when he defended Gayton McKenzie after racist old social media posts resurfaced online.
Social media user @AdvBarryRoux shared an old clip on X on Sunday, 17 August 2025, of Kunene kissing Ranaka and captioned it:

In the clip, Ranaka was co-hosting eTV's cancelled entertainment TV show, Club 808, with MoFlava, who also interviews former EFF politician Floyd Shivambu in the video.
The video also shows the the Metro FM radio personality kissing the politician and saying, "Peace in the land," after kissing Kunene, who goes for a second awkward kiss.
