South African rapper Cassper Nyovest was a major topic of discussion after his performance at Scorpion Kings Live with Friends. The Monate Mpolaye hitmaker's navy outfit with a black t-shirt did not hit the right notes among social media users.

The Instagram user, Innocentia Tshabalala, asked Cassper, "Why are you wearing women's clothes?"

Peeps on social media have been comparing Cassper to other celebrities, including the American fictional character, Madea, to rapper Saucy Santana, to South African Gospel singer Rebecca Malope.

“What an unforgettable experience at Scorpion Kings Live! Even amidst the secular vibes, we took a moment to lift our voices in praise and honour the Lord. Grateful for the opportunity to celebrate and worship in any setting. All glory to Jesus Christ!” he exclaimed.

One fan mocked his outfit, saying he wore female clothes. The star has had his fair share of fashion hits and misses, so this criticism was nothing new. Cassper came with a scathing clap back and reprimanded the woman for poking fun at his clothes. He called Innocentia immature and slammed her for embarrassing herself.

"Mama, you're old with kids, why are you acting so immature on social media? Not only are you embarrassing yourself, but what about the shame your kids feel when mom trends for being stupid?" she asked.

@Bubu_Mazibuko lauded:

"Cassper Nyovest is an incredible performer. He is very charismatic and knows how to get the crowd going. 10/10 lapho. He and Kamo Mphela were my favourite performances. Superstars for sure."

@elama_ntungwa mentioned:

"Cass did it alone with no Davido, no funding, no government support. Also, he’s peak hip hop. What Cass did can never be undone. Cass walked so the likes of Phori could run. Cassper is forever a legend. Whether you love him or are obsessed with him. Cass is the greatest rapper in SA."

@MbaleeM__ said:

"I know everybody loves to hate Cassper, but listen, that guy has so much star power. There was a shift in his performance, and it felt like that was his concert; he can really work a crowd in such an enjoyable way. He really is such a superstar hey."
