Tjo, sad news, hit social media regarding Sol Phenduka's fate at Kaya 959. The controversial podcaster confirmed on Monday, 1 September 2025, that he has been officially fired from the popular radio station a week after he was suspended.
An online user @Oriana_RSA, shortly after Phenduka's contract termination was announced, rallied many netizens to boycott the radio station for how they handled the star's termination on social media. The online user further asked his fans and followers to stop listening to Kaya 959 unless they rethink their decision regarding Sol's fate.
On Tuesday, 2 September 2025, the popular radio personality, Sizwe Dhlomo, who has worked with Sol Phenduka at Kaya 959, reacted to his termination on social media and also mentioned the value Phenduka brought to their show and how nice it was to have worked with him these past three years.
