Grammy-award-winning Afrobeats singer Davido felt special during his time in Mzansi. The Nigerian superstar was a special guest at the historic Scorpion Kings Live with Friends performance in Pretoria.

Davido appreciated Mzansi for the love and warm welcome. He even went as far as declaring the country his home. The Assurance hitmaker took to social media on Wednesday, 3 September 2025, to share a snippet of his performance at the sold-out show at the Loftus Stadium.

In his message, he added in isiZulu to emphasise just how much he loves the country.

The singer went all out for his performance. He wore a super cool jacket, which was South African-inspired. He paid homage to two SA legends, Steve Biko and Nelson Mandela. Mzansi thought this was very cool, with people suggesting that he be given a local name.
