The family of music producer DJ Poizen, real name Caven Masetla-Moshoane, has announced his memorial and funeral services following his death from a car accident on Saturday, 30 August 2025.

Moshoane recently made headlines when Metro FM's Lamiez Holworthy opened up about his last days in Limpopo province before he died

Sunday World reported on Thursday, 4 September 2025, that the memorial service for the artist will be held on Thursday, 11 September 2025, at the Centurion Chisanyama from 4 pm to 6 pm.

The second memorial service will be at Poizen's home in Tickeyline, Limpopo province, on Friday, 12 September 2025, at the Napscom High School Hall, from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Poizen's uncle, Reuben Masetla, confirmed to the publication that his funeral service will be held at Tickeyline village outside Tzaneen in Limpopo’s Mopani District, Napscom High School, from 6 am. The DJ will be buried at Tickeyline’s Malesa Graveyard.

SA reacts to DJ Chymamusique’s last post on X

In more entertainment news, Briefly News previously reported that South African DJ Chymamusique posted a cryptic message on his social media account a few days before he was hospitalised from a car accident.

The popular South African, who is currently hospitalised, was involved in a fatal car crash that claimed the life of his friend, DJ Poizen.
