South African media personality Pamela Mtanga became a victim of a scam recently. The award-winning influencer opened up about a popular moving company that did her dirty in September 2025.

According to Sunday World, the 29-year-old personality who won Glamour's Most Glamorous award opened up about what transpired between her and the L&M Group moving company earlier this month.

Speaking to the publication, Mtanga mentioned that she was over R28K to move her personal belongings from Johannesburg to Cape Town. However, things didn't go as she planned, and now she doesn't know where her stuff is, as it was not delivered to her new place in Cape Town.

"I paid R28 500 for the quoted move. The moving company outsourced the job to another company and paid that company R19 000. Boxes, tape, and bubble wrap ran out by midday; now the company quoted an extra R14 000 for me to pay for extra supplies," she said.

Moving company share their side of the story

Meanwhile, Pamela is frustrated and disappointed by what has happened to her. The moving company's CEO, Oscar Magudulela, clarified the matter and mentioned that they will take full responsibility for what happened to the media personality.

Magudulela said:

"We regret the inconvenience caused and sincerely appreciate Ms Mtanga’s patience and cooperation throughout this process. Unfortunately, this resulted in an experience that fell below our standards and expectations."

This apology from the CEO came after Mtanga, who was born in the Eastern Cape, further explained that she was expected to pop out more money on top of the R28K she had initially paid the company.

"Apparently, the owner has denied owing me anything. I've just paid another R17 000 to the company holding my belongings. The extra R3 000 is for delivery, as my belongings are currently at a warehouse in Randburg and need to be redelivered," Pamela mentioned.

Mtanga isn't the only celebrity caught up in a scam. In 2025, the former Big Brother Mzansi winner, Mpho Wabadimo, was accused of scamming her clients after they paid to attend her seminar.
