Reality TV star Wandile ‘Wandi’ Ndlovu is counting her lucky stars after the Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court cancelled a warrant of arrest against her and her sister Ntombifuthi Ndlovu. Wandile Ndlovu, along with her mother and sisters, were initially arrested for the death of her uncle, Linda Ndlovu, in Katlehong.

Wandi Ndlovu, who is out on bail, almost returned to jail after the Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court issued a warrant of arrest against her and her sister for their no-show in the courtroom on Tuesday, 9 September 2025.

Why Wandi Ndlovu's arrest warrant was cancelled

Their mother, Thembi Ndlovu, was the only one present when the court called the two sisters and their mother to the dock. Believing that the sisters had absconded, the magistrate issued a warrant for their arrest. The warrant was cancelled when the case was recalled after lunch, after it was discovered that the sisters had been in the wrong courtroom.

According to a report by City Press, the Ndlovus are being represented by Dumisani Mabunda, the same lawyer who represented the bogus doctor and controversial TikTok creator Matthew Lani in 2024. When the case was recalled after lunch, the trio was seen with Mabunda’s assistants, as he had left earlier.

When the sisters finally appeared in the right courtroom, the magistrate reportedly scolded them for approaching the courtroom slowly. According to City Press, the magistrate threatened to lock them up while they wait for the postmortem report.

Wandi Ndlovu, her sister, and their mother are expected to appear in court on 26 November for the postmortem report. The court wants to determine the actual cause of death before proceeding with the trial. In a video that circulated on social media after the Ndlovus’ arrest, a woman believed to be a family member claimed the uncle had not died from the stab wounds.

Why Wandi Ndlovu and her family are in court

Wandi Ndlovu, her mother Thembi and sister Ntombifuthi are facing murder charges stemming from the death of their mother’s brother, Linda Ndlovu, in July 2025. The trio was arrested following allegations that they had been involved in an altercation with him before his death.

According to sources, the altercation started after Thembi Ndlovu confronted Linda over the loud music he was playing in his room. Linda then allegedly attacked Thembi with a golf stick. Wandi and Ntombifuthi Ndlovu then retaliated with a knife and allegedly fatally stabbed their uncle.

According to a source who spoke to the publication, Wandi and Ntombifuthi had not intentionally killed their uncle and had tried to save his life after the attack.

“They saw that the guy was not responsive and called an ambulance. When the ambulance was delayed, they took him to the hospital, and he was certified dead on arrival. The children were trying to defend their mother, but the situation turned out badly,” the source said.

Wandi Ndlovu speaks out after release

Meanwhile, Briefly News reported that Wandi Ndlovu spoke out after she was released on bail on 5 August 2025 following her arrest and two-week detention for the alleged murder of her uncle.

Ndlovu lambasted the Katlehong community, who gathered outside her house after she was released on bail. The reality TV star said she had proof that the community knew very well how her uncle, Linda, abused her mom.
