The countdown to the new look Miss South Africa pageant is heating up, with the organisers of the competition announcing the judges for the 2025 edition.

The year 2025 has been a rollercoaster ride for the Miss South Africa organisation. From the surprise resignation of CEO Stephanie Weil to the postponement of the Miss SA, typically held in August to celebrate Women's Month, to a later date, fans were wondering whether the pageant would go ahead in 2025.

Now, the Miss South Africa Organisation has finally broken its silence and issued a major update.

Miss SA Organisation reveals 2025 judges

On Monday, 15 September 2025, the organisers of the Miss SA pageant revealed the three judges ahead of the announcement of the top 10 finalists on Tuesday, 16 September.

Entertainment blogger @TvblogbyMLU took to X and shared that Miss South Africa 2022, Ndavi Nokeri, eTV investigative journalist and host Devi Sankaree Govender and media personality Liezel van der Westhuizen would be the Miss SA 2025 judges. The post was captioned:

“Who will be crowned Miss SA 2025? Meet your star-studded judging panel that will help decide.”

Netizens react to Miss SA 2025 judges

In the comments, @TvblogbyMLU shared that Zozibini Tunzi, arguably the most popular Miss SA to date, would not be returning to host the series Crown Chasers. The Miss SA TV series will not be held this year, and the pageant will head straight to the finale.

The entertainment blogger also confirmed earlier reports that renowned media personality Bonang Matheba will not host the 2025 Miss South Africa finale.

Social media user @Alulu25 suggested that the Miss South Africa Organisation sell the pageant rights to Zozi Tunzi. The post was captioned:

“Tough times for the pageant. They need to tell us what is happening. Better yet, they must sell the ownership rights to someone else. Zozi must buy this thing.”

Patrice Motsepe's wife's organisation takes over Miss SA

Meanwhile, an organisation founded by Patrice Motsepe's wife, Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe announced a partnership with the Miss South Africa Organisation.

The organisation, Africa Fashion International (AFI), clarified its relationship with the Miss South Africa Organisation, saying:

"While AFI and the Miss South Africa Organisation are still separate entities, we have forged meaningful partnerships and collaboration across the organisations to promote African creativity and excellence."

The Miss Universe runner-up laughed off reports that the organisation would not be held in August and was under new management. South Africans and fans of the organisation took to social media to criticise the pageant.
