Model and actress Luyanda Zuma has been named as one of the top 10 finalists to compete for the Miss South Africa 2025 crown.

Following a period of uncertainty about whether the Miss South Africa pageant would be held in 2025 after it was postponed, the competition’s organisers have shared a major update. Hours after unveiling the three-member judging panel, the Miss South Africa Organisation released the list of the top 10 finalists who will battle it out for the Miss South Africa 2025 crown on 25 October 2025, at Sun Bet Arena, Times Square, Pretoria.

Shaka iLembe actress makes Miss SA 2025 top 10

Among the finalists is 23-year-old actress and model Luyanda Zuma, who joined Shaka iLembe as part of its Season 2 cast. The Pietermaritzburg-born actress joined the critically acclaimed Mzansi Magic historical drama series as Liyana, Shaka’s love interest.

Her Miss South Africa 2025 high-quality audition video, showcasing her background as an AFDA Bachelor of Live Performance graduate, once became a topic of discussion on social media.

Miss South Africa 2025 top 10 finalists

Eight of the contestants live and work in Gauteng, with two hailing from the Western Cape. One of the contestants from the Western Cape is Ghee-Ann Rademan, a 23-year-old who graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Psychology. She is a registered Mental Health Professional who launched an online counselling platform to cater for young girls and adult women.

Karabo Mareka, a 28-year-old flight attendant from Alexandra, Gauteng, is among the Miss SA 2025 top 10 finalists. The United Airlines flight attendant currently lives in the United States.

Miss Soweto 2021 finalist Zanele Phakathi, doctor and surgeon Nelly Mashile (founder of the Ignite Unite initiative), Lebo Msimanga (founder of The Lebo Leads Foundation), and Qhawekazi Mazaleni, a 24-year-old studying for a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Pretoria, are also among the finalists.

Other contestants include Nthabiseng Kgasi, a marketing manager; Bridgette Jones, who is studying Management online; and Gizelle Venske, who had a stint at Deloitte in Sydney, Australia, before starting a new role at a global indirect tax firm.
