Netizens react to Musa Mthombeni's property price rant
Netizens filled the comments with mixed reactions. While some agreed with Dr Musa Mthombeni, others disagreed and explained why property prices in South Africa are currently what they are.
Here are some of the comments:
@kopano_matlala explained:
“Before we sell, we do valuations before even listing the property so that we can help the Seller understand what sort of market we are dealing with. You can just put a price and hope for the best. Send me a DM, and we can try and show the seller where we believe the value is.”
@Njebez35 said:
“Propped up by an imaginary economy, should there be unprecedented circumstances that lead to the South African economy going bust, the property becomes worthless, yet you still have the 15 million in outstanding debt. So, what really is the ‘worth’ of something in this world, kinda like those worthless Kugas.”
