Seasoned broadcaster Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, has shared his thoughts after well-known businessman Serge Cabonge defended suspended top cop General Shadrack Sibiya.
During an interview with Clement Manyathela on Radio 702, Serge Cabonge, a well-known blesser and high flyer in Johannesburg’s entertainment scene, claimed he was close friends with General Sibiya and the murder accused Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.
Apart from speaking on his relationship with Sibiya and Matlala, Cabonge denied claims that he played a role in the attempted hit on actress and socialite, Tebogo Thobejane.
DJ Warras reacted to a snippet of Serge Cabonge detailing how he became friends with and the nature of his relationship with suspended Crime Intelligence boss, General Shadrack Sibiya.

On Wednesday, 17 September 2025, DJ Warras weighed in on the snippet and echoed the same sentiments he shared regarding Malcolm X’s interview with eNCA journalist Pule Letshwiti-Jones.
Warras questioned why Serge Cabonge voluntarily shared potentially damaging information about himself during the interview with Clement Manyathela. The post was captioned:
“Guys 😒🙄 WHAT is going on in this country? 😅 Why is ‘Serg’ the international Blesser now a person of credibility on matters of public interest? Like? Why are all these guys DOING INTERVIEWS in which they implicate themselves in something dodgy, Nje. Phela - NOBODY asked you to say something? How do you just volunteer information about things like this? 😂😂This is a simulation. I swear.”

“I have a suspicion that these guys, including that Malcolm guy and Kenneth, might be involved in some kind of syndicate. They seem to have strong connections. It’s curious how they’re always referred to as 'businessmen', but what exactly is their business?”
@phestahiver replied:
“He has the information we are interested in.”
@KgNong29642 shared:
“The illusion of perceived 'importance' is a very serious drug in Southy. We have politicians, criminals who are very interested in being ‘seen’. It's unbelievable. Just do your job well, or steal SILENTLY.”

“This is the behaviour of people who are not scared of anything.”
