Cassper Nyovest joked about taking the famous Ozempic medication to possibly speed up his weight loss.

Ahead of the anticipated Fill Up Toyota Stadium concert taking place on 6 December 2025, the rapper has been working tirelessly to get back into shape for the big night, but recently admitted that it's a lot harder than he thought.

On 17 September, he shared a video of himself at a tennis court, smothered in sunscreen while breathing heavily after an intense match.

The rapper said he is trying to lose weight to give fans an incredible experience at his concert. However, at the rate he was going, he was considering jumping on the Ozempic train:

"Guys, I'm old, it's hard, and it's hot. Luckily, I have money, so I'm going to take Ozempic, danko!"

While Mufasa's statement was presented as a joke, it spoke to the growing trend of celebrities, more especially South African stars, suspected of taking the famous medication to help them lose weight.

The medication was originally used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. However, according to Mediclinic, Ozempic (clinically called Semaglutide) has gained rapid recognition as more people turn to medical interventions for weight loss.

His video sparked rave reactions from fans, who motivated him to continue his weight loss journey.
